Athletics -- Overall

Athletics is another of the four major categories used to compare the schools, along with Academics, Cost and Quality of Life. In order to get an overall comparison, the schools are compared on the following sub-categories:

• Intramural Sports Programs
• Intercollegiate Sports Programs
• Number of NCAA Championshipos (all sports)
• Football Bowl Appearances
• Football Bowl Wins
• Football National Championships
• Basketball Final Four Appearances
• Basketball National Championships

Each school is then graded in each of the subcategories and then averaged for an overall score, with certain sub-categories weighted more than others. They are then ranked numerically, with the results below.
